
Grant M. Seiter
Department of Economics; Junior Fellow
Grant M. Seiter is a third-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Economics and a Graduate Research Fellow with the Environmental Inequality Lab. He holds an M.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia and a B.B.A. in Economics, Finance, and Mathematics from Baylor University. Before pursuing his Ph.D., Grant was a Senior Research Associate for Economic Policy Studies at the American Enterprise Institute, where he studied federal tax and budget policy.
His primary research fields are public finance and labor economics, with a focus on welfare, mobility, and aging. Outside of research, Grant enjoys playing jazz drums, traveling with his wife, eating his way through Charlottesville’s food scene, and hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
