Jessica Gómez is a PhD student in the Department of English at the University of Virginia studying Latinx literature. Her research focuses on Central America and migration from Central America through Mexico and into the United States. Jessica completed her undergraduate work, with honors, at the University of Texas at El Paso with a degree in English and a minor in Mathematics. Her other interests include drawing, movie nights, and anything/everything about food (although her cooking skills need work).
