José Ferrer
Economics; Junior Fellow
José Ferrer is a fourth-year PhD student in the Department of Economics. His research focuses on the interactions between monetary, fiscal, and capital account policies and their effect on inflation and exchange rates dynamics. José holds a B.A. in Finance and Economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2014) and a M.Sc. from Georgetown University (2021). Prior to his graduate studies, José worked as a Research Analyst at the International Monetary Fund in the Middle East and Central Asia department providing research assistance and data analysis for the Tunisia and Libya teams. In his free time, he enjoys rock-climbing, playing soccer, and reading.
