Sarah Denne
Religious Studies; Junior Fellow
Sarah Denne is a PhD student in Religious Studies with research interests in modern philosophy of religion, aesthetics, and evil. She has written on topics such as mysticism in contemporary Latin American literature, comedy in Hegel’s philosophy of religion, and the relationship between aesthetics and ethics. Before coming to UVA, she graduated with an MA from the University of Chicago Divinity School and worked as a hospital chaplain. She is also a research assistant in Dean Acampora’s Moral Injury Lab.
